The resort is about a 20min TukTuk ride from Udon Thani airport. Just ask the driver. The resort has 9 lovely houses at a little sea. Everything absolutly clean, a large bed, lakeview, moskitonets, minibar, terasse outside, aircon. If you like you can do fishing at the lake. The owner is very gentle, he drove us to the nightmarket in Udon Thani- for less. In the morning we got breakfast at our terasse- you can chose thai or american style. An after breakfeast, the owner drove us again in to Udon Thani bus station. He din´t take a bat- "service he said". The price was 29$ the night/room.
The setting is peaceful and quiet, close to nature. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms weeded clean and the mattresses were comfortable. The swimming pool was nice for all ages and had a nice view as it was by the lake. I would recommend this place to other families and groups.

The guesthouse itself is something of a Garden of Eden, with plenty of vegetation, birds singing in their cages. The place suits those who drive around Thailand by car.
The rooms are spacious even the standard room I took was more than ample,clean and the added benefit of an in room safe. If I return to the area
and depending on availability I will be staying there again.It is 4 km outside the city center.
Sinnakhone Hotel (20USD/night)

The room were comfortable and clean, the reception staff were friendly and obliging and the rooms were well serviced every day. Breakfast was a basic fried eggs and bread with tea or coffee but there are plenty of places nearby if you want to "top up" with an inexpensive early brunch.
Good location in the center of Vientiane
flew to Wattay Airport and the hotel offered a pick-up service for $7 total from the airport to the hotel which was great. The room and bathroom were a great size and breakfast was included in the price. The hotel is in a great location, only a 5 minute walk from most of the temples and over sights in the area.
STC Homestay Hotel

This place has only 3 bungalows. 2 smaler are put togetter for families to join , The bungalow is a little bigger and is more for honeymoons or couples.
The STC Homestay Bed and Breakfast guest house is a short drive from the Udon Thani Airport. It is where you can learn about Thai Isaan culture and ways. The walks near the lake and through the small villages give you a sense of what rural Thailand is truly like.
The room included a tv, wifi, films and player, fridg, tables for work inside and out and more. It is clean, beautiful and if you should need anything all you have to do is pick up the phone and call the owner's house next door.
The food is out of this world. It is better than most 5 star restaurants and the owners are kind,
and also know what to do in and around the city of Udon. If you don't have a car there are bicycles and other ways to get around. It is a beautiful hide away where you can get rest, or work or explore the area. I recommend this BB without reservation.

The Thai host was very nice and she cooked us breakfast every morning. The deluxe room was like being in a condo. The over sized air conditioning worked great and there was a ceiling fan over the bed which could be operated by remote control. The bed was large and comfortable with nice thread count sheets. Flat screen TV with cable and a modern clean bathroom with bath tub was super! There is a small gym on the second floor and a lounge area where you can watch TV. Walking distance to shopping malls. I have nothing negative to report about this place.
